Changing One Heart for Many

If you’re visiting for the first time and you don’t know my story (God’s Story), you may want to check it on the left-hand side bar under “My Secret Sin.” I was one of those human beings who needed a heart change. If you have had an abortion, I want you to know you will find no condemnation here, but you will find Truth wrapped in grace and mercy. God has brought you here because He doesn’t want you to hurt and feel ashamed anymore, but what He does want from you is to trust Him with your pain. Will you do that? I hope so. If you need to talk or need prayer, click on ‘profile’ for email.

On February 8th I posted about Christians who are pro-abortion.  I want to thank you for praying and the supporting comments that were left.  But I don’t always receive such support. Many times I contribute to Cypress Times which is located in Texas; some times I’ll use the same posting from my blog. I’m not sure if I think they are so interesting that I need to share them again or it’s just easier not to have to come up with a totally different topic. Anyway, I posted February 8th ‘Changing One Heart for Many’ and received this comment: “I think it's very dangerous when a person makes such a stern judgement about their fellow Christians. We are all responsible for our own walk and it is not up to me to determine if someone is truly born again based on something as gut wrenching as abortion. We are all individuals and we're allowed to be wrong and still be Christians.” Read the rest here by scrolling down the page.

Last week a young lady made this statement to me “I was given some booklets that had to do with spiritual counseling at the clinic where I had my abortion. It led me to believe that being religious and having an abortion was okay. I felt a little better for a while.”  Later that evening I wanted to check out just what she was talking about, so I went to the abortion website and this is what I found.

After watching the video, I thought “we need to pray”. We are fighting a spiritual battle. We need to be the voice that will speak the truth of God.  As followers of Christ, should we not be concerned of the deception that is blinding those who call out “Lord, Lord” yet choose to twist the Scriptures. Should we not be concerned about the millions of pre-born babies that are being aborted? Should we not be concerned for the women who believe that there is only one ‘choice’ in facing an unplanned pregnancy?

Ephesians 6:12 (Amplified Bible) For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.
Father God,
There are times when we look around and see a battle that appears to big for us to fight. But You , Oh Lord, see a speck of dust that will be blown away by one mighty word spoken from Your mouth. Help us not to become discouraged as we fight this battle.Give us wisdom to know how to pray and the strength to stand against the enemy.

We pray for the lives of those who are lost in religion to see Your Truth. Awaken the heart so that they would come to a place of repentance and enter into a relationship with Your Son , Jesus. We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Tammy

If I understood this minister correctly, it seems that she gives just part of the truth. It's true that no sin can separate us from the love of God, but I don't think that means we should just go ahead and decide to do something we know is wrong. The scripture also says this:

"What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?" Rom. 6:1-2 NIV

You are right, we need to pray!! That message was so softly subtle and so seemingly Godly. Wow!! how quickly a young girl could feel justified to make the wrong decision based on what she heard on this tape, and then later... have to deal with the knowledge that all life comes from God.

It is a real battle, as you said.

Praying with you Tammy...

Love,

Sonja

Wow! We do need to pray. I admit that if I were wrestling with the decision to have an abortion, the message in this video would definitely grant me the "permission" to do so. The message has the appearance of a loving, truthful, official word from God.

Still praying with you Tammy!

Our prayers are definitely needed my friend.

I am so thankful for you and what you are doing to further the awareness of abortion and that you open your heart to us all!

Oh Tammy. This is horrible. My mouth is open as I listen to this "minister" ...

Trickery is still alive and well. Just as satan deceived Eve in the garden. You can almost hear the hissing in her smooth talk.

She doesn't mention the scripture that God knows us before we are even formed in the womb.

Yes, pray. We need to pray.

Tammy:
This clergy-person doesn't seem to be looking at the entire picture.
At church on Valentine's day, I heard a young man read a grief letter to his unborn son or daughter. He was 15,his girlfriend was 14. She was a straight-A- student. She wanted to make something of herself. They talked to different people and made a tough decision to end the pregnancy.
The young man and the girl opened their lives up to drug addiction and alcoholism in order to try to rid themselves of the guilt.
The man is going through an alcohol treatment program through a ministry in our town. He has not finished the program, but the director chose him to share with us because of what he wrote in the letter.
The letter brought a lot of people to tears.

Tammy, I'm going to email you. I can't put my comments here because that video upset me so much that I have to go PRAY again right now!

As one who knows the horror and pain of abortion and the lies and deception of satan-- and as a pastor myself I can not imagine anyone saying what that minister said in the video BUT I know it exists. I'm going to email you. I love you.

The tactics of the enemy for sure! Oh Tammy this is a fantastic post. It boiled my blood to listen to that woman twist the Scriptures like that.

I love your heart girl! I really love your profile picture too. You look great and your husband did a great job too!

I am sick to my stomach, and I just want to reach through the screen and smack this woman and shake some holy, God-fearing sense into her; she gives the label "clergy" a bad name. Having said that, I must pray for the scales to be removed from her eyes and for her continuing influence to others be diminished until she gets the right and good perspective about the value of a human life. She's contorting Scripture in a hundred different ways to suit what "the itching ears want to hear." Indeed, nothing can separate us from God's love, but we can separate ourselves from him because of our sin.

Have mercy, I'm in a lather over here... this is such an important message, Tammy. Thank you for posting it here and for standing on the side of truth. I'm with you; don't let any condemnation come to you via the enemy because of your speaking the truth. He'd like nothing more than to diminish you and your witness.

Prayers all around on this one.

Edie quoted Rom.6 which came immediately to mind. I pray I'm not going overboard as I was drawn to 2Tim.3-Godlessness in the last days. Verse 5) Having the appearance of godliness but denying its power. Avoid such people.
To take such powerful principles and twist them. To use a much loved scripture and condone taking a life! Yes God is all about forgiveness and I have spent 36 years in chains for my abortions!
The last thing that struck me was HER business card! Whose business is she in?
Tammy, please continue to let the Holy Spirit fill and lead you.
Again thank you for your impact on my life!!

Tammy, watching the deception on this video has brought me to tears. She says that no where in the Bible does God condemn abortion. Anyone who reads the Bible knows the commandment, "thou shall not kill". Would she watch someone take the life of another child or adult and tell them to go ahead and do it...God is with you? You are right. It is a spiritual battle and we must pray. Thank you, Tammy, for your ministry and for putting action with your prayers. Love, Carolyn
