Telling My Secret

At church tonight we will showing the movie "Tilly" before I share my testimony. Tilly is a powerful story of a mother who find forgiveness from God and her child that she aborted 9 years ago. There are events that take place that pushes her secret to surface which brings on a dream. In this dream she meets her daughter in a heaven and for the first time holds her, not just in her arms but also in her heart. It's very powerful!

God used this story 11 years ago to speak to my heart about my secret sin. Please pray that those who are dealing with this loss will not run from the Cross but to it.

Tammy

Believing with you that those who need to hear your testimony will be ministered to in a powerful way. I've wanted to see that movie Tilly. Is that the same story they talk about on Focus on the Family every now and then?

I will be praying for GOD's divine touch on all those present as you share your story. GOD BLESS YOU for being an open, willing, and usable vessel for our Lord and Savior!

Blessings and prayers, andrea

I read this book several years ago, but have never seen the movie. It was very good and I cried at the end.

The Lord will bless you for sharing your testimony, and I pray everyone present will have willing and open hearts to receive your words....

Oh Tammy,

I'm praying even now...

You know my heart on this precious subject. May every heart be opened and prepared tonight. May the presence of the LORD pour through you as you speak.

I'm loving and hugging you now.

I think this a far more widespread phenomenon (the secret sin) than many people know. I have not seen the movie, Tillie. Is it suitable for teenagers?

Tammy said...

Yes Elizabeth, this movie is suitable for teens.

After watching this movie with our daughter, God opened the door to tell her about the abortion.

Elizabeth Mahlou said...

Wonderful. I will look for it for my catechism class. That's always a tough topic. One of my co-teachers had three abortions as a teenager, so she is a pretty dynamic speaker, but a movie would be great.

Tammy, thank you for stopping by my blog and for your sweet words. I know your testimony went well on 8/5/2009 because when we testify in His name, it won't fall on deaf ears. I volunteer once a week at pregnancy crisis center doing sonograms (I am also a nurse in Labor & Delivery), and I can tell you from experience that nothing ministers to these girls like someone that has actually walked in the very shoes of heartache. Keep sharing your story and may God bless you. I love your blog!

Tammy,

I praise God that He redeems our past by allowing us to minister to others. I hope your testimony touches women and brings healing and hope!

I will soon be sharing my testimony (of surviving a difficult childhood) at our church on a Sunday morning, and it's so much harder than I thought it would be. I pray that when it finally happens, I will do God proud.

Blessings to you!

I'm wondering how it went at your church? Testimonies are the most powerful tools we have - after scriptures.

If you get a chance, stop by my blog to see why you have lovely feet!
