No Shadow of Shame

Psalm 34:5 Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy;
      no shadow of shame will darken their faces.

She was sad. It was hard for her to get out all the details, as she sat across from me. Knowing that I‘d been there, seem to ease her nervousness. Yet, most of the time she avoided eye contact and when she did, they were crying for help.

Abortion has that affect on those who’ve made the “choice.” At first, we find relief when the machine is finally turned off. We are told that we can get back to life as we knew it, but when morning comes, for many of us, life stands still. Many have told me they couldn’t stop crying. They want to make up for what they have done…“If only I could go back, I’d change it all.”

When I meet with someone whose pain is consuming them, my heart cries out to the Lord “Please Father, let them feel your arms embracing them right now. Let them hear of the hope that You have waiting for them.”

After our first meeting, I’m always afraid she won’t come back. I know who’s waiting for her as she leaves the center, it’s the enemy. The one who lead her to the clinic in the first place. But I also know the One who is far greater then Satan. I’ve seen it time and time again, as the Lord takes that heart of stone and places it in His hands to soften the pain. I’ve watched Him turn tears of shame into tears of joy because of His redeeming love and I'm about to see it happen, again.

It not easy facing your abortion but once you do, your abortion becomes the face of your child and that’s when the healing takes place.

Yes, I'm glad that we have the Greatest Healer Who can ease these people's pain...So many inmates choose to have it, thinking that it's the easy way out, as they are in a tough condition of being incarcerated. Some simply just don't care. And that's what's sad. To give up on "one" that is worth saving.

Blessings.

I cry out as you said above Tammy as I now counsel with teens and women in the pro-life center. Some come they say by accident because they "thought" we were an abortion clinic just to find out we are a pro-life center not a clinic and oh what opportunity is there at that point through the power of the Holy Spirit!!!

You bless my heart Tammy for I will always say again and again how grateful I am to our LORD for using you last year to help me to speak out more publicly on this very tender and most important subject -- the lives of our unborn.

I'm thankful GOD gets the glory always!!!

Love you. I'm praying for you as you continue to stand on the front lines for LIFE.

What raw emotion. At the end of us seems to be right where He meets us though.

Today I, too, sat across from a woman in absolute despair, not because of abortion, but because of a great many other things. I found myself praying the same prayer that you prayed as I spoke with her.

Healing does begin with our bringing the problem/sin out into the light; in doing so, we begin to diffuse the hold that the enemy has regarding our shame and confusion.

Praying God's light continues to shine through you, sister, as you minister to these women in a way that I never could.

I love your big heart!

PS: Extra prayers for Ryan tonight as well.
